About The Brand

NAKSHA is a home grown brand supporting not only the weavers of this soil but also the unsung karigars of Bengal. The hand woven silk and tussar fabrics from small home bound looms, act as canvas to the karigars who relentlessly showcase their inborn talents by hand dyeing the fabrics and then proceeding with block prints, hand embroideries (like kantha stitch) tie and dye, batik and hand paint. They get umpteen freedom to bring their imagination to reality creating these marvelous six yards.

Today NAKSHA has a small unit of weavers and talented karigars who are more like a family making these pretty sarees. Most of the members here are ladies who shy out when they face the camera. But their fingers with thimble or holding paint brushes and other techniques keep us bereft of words when we see the six yards transformed to elegant pieces of art.

As they say, every success is a team effort, we get to see this in this family bound organisation. Each piece created is a first edit from this brand which we proudly boast binging our karigars in the frontline.

What's Clients Says?

It gives me enough joy to be draped in the unique creation of Naksha while celebrating my birthday at The Goring, London yesterday. The quality of the fabric is unique.

Naksha spells uniqueness of creation, quality and most importantly exclusivity! Here I am in two of Naksha’s creations, the bright one bought a good 6 years back, but it still stands out! The other beauty is a needle shibori in silk! Thank you Naksha!❤️
